I do not know what you are trying to prove here bud. The pictures you show us, don't look particularly stunning. The duke and tunnel ones particularly. They actually look somewhat outdated. And the hoverbrain picture doesn't actually seem to have the most stunning graphics either. It has a colorful texture which makes it stand out, but that's it.

It looks like PREY. Which I might add, looks great, too. It honestly looks dated, though. You have to admit it.

No one complained about Super Smash Bros Brawl having "outdated" graphics...

bud389;4929058 uh huh.... Yea, those graphics sure don't look great at all

Honestly no they don't. They would have looked fine for a few years ago, but the graphics standards, or maybe i should say expectations, have been raised much higher since then.

Well, to be fair, its more expected for games like that to not quite match up in the graphics department.

Their running off a heavily modified unreal engine 2.5, so that's pretty amazing.

Looks like Crysis minus the human enemies and adding alot more giant boss enemies. The graphics looks kinda like what Crysis and Farcry 2 already can pull from that video in that website. Unless you're telling us that its insanely optimized or has a radical/unique feature (or free roam like someone said), its pretty much a game that achieves the 'decent' or 'just above average' rank in today's generation of games? But all that is my opinion. P.S. It should have a whole lot of friggin different weapons too, games these day only have like less than 10 weapons or something. It makes me sad sometimes :(

Count_Chocu1a;4928545Call of Duty did not take a decade to produce. It also did not change developers mid-stream, change game engines 3 times, get scrapped & restart twice, & did I already mention TAKE 10 YEARS & it's still not finished?!!! The truth is no one will buy it. OK, some will buy it, but most will pirate it for fear of paying for SUCK. Duke is just not relevant ten years later. It is like the Serious Sam series. Gamers want more than just mindless killing now days. Unless it is just so friggin awesome, which there is no way a 10 year hiatus can provide, it will fail. It is like Rambo. The first one was awesome, the second one was good too, but 10+ years later, a fat old Stallone just looked sad.

I prefer the old, genocidal shooters over today's key-searching, homogeneous weapon filled ones. I loved Painkiller, Serious Sam, and Doom 1&2, (3 wasn't bad, just a different type of game.)

Rambo 4 wasn't bad either.

Pay close attention to the bold part. Heavily as in very, very, very modified. The Splinter Cell games(Or at least Chaos Theory and Double Agent) run on Unreal Engine 2.5, and they look pretty damn good too. Neither of them took a decade to develop.

IT WAS ON THE WII. Since when do WII games have good graphics?

Mario Galaxy was good, artistically.
