Dice makes BF1942 and that series. I can't believe how much EA is getting away with, why isn't the government stopping them from monopolyzing the Gaming Industry?

Because it's how capitalism works.
I see no problem with a successful games company buying another. Considering BF series are popular, good move on EA's part.
Hopefully EA will not drag Dice and the BF series into mediocrity.

its a free enterprise system the government doesnt like to intervine with things like this... unless microsoft is trying to get a monopoly... the government doesnt like microsoft
I don't see what the big deal is. And seriously, why should the government give a damn if someone monopolizes anything? Especially gaming?

if a company has a monoply then they can control the price of their monopoly to what ever they want and nobody can do anything about it. its like what happened with southwesternbell, they were the only phone company and if sombody wanted a phone they had to get it from them and they could make the price to whatever they wanted they could charge $1 a minute and people would be forced to go to them and nobody could do anything unless the government stoped it, and thats just about the only thing the government can do in a free enterprise economy and if ea keeps on buying all the gamming conpanies, which i doubt, the the government might stop them
IF they decided to bring prices down, then I may be a little more inclined to say that its not such a bad thing.
EA often are criticised for killing off games, but often that is not the case Visa vie - Burnout 3. EA's polish made that game awesome.
long live capitalism.
