It was a buggy, unoptimised, over-hyped, POS (imo). What a suprise it was published by EA. I expect they threatened to sue the developers if it was not out by a specific date. Wouldn't be the first time

HGen_SnakeMOHPA was made by EA LA. So they don't only publish it. And I think EA does (did?) a good job, like the Medal of Honor series (awesome).

Very few games are MADE by EA. But for the ones they did make, most of them are awfull.

Likely they'll just slap on their EA logo on everything Ubisoft puts out. That is, if their influence is really anything more than financial gain.

they do ames for the masses, what do you expect.

I must say that I hate Ubi(It's abit like EA). The main reason is because of Rainbow six Raven Shield, the game, when it was in demo state, still not released yet, was almost bug free. Even though they released patches, the patches would create other bugs or on later patches, unlock the same bugs that were corrected in the previous patches, They were supposed to release the SDK and then decided they wouldn't. The final result is that after around 30 patches, the final(they decided) version is filled with hateful bugs, most of the times making the game unplayable and an unreleased SDK so that the community can't even fix the bugs by itself. They really lack in community service...

SOME EA titles are good, only some. Btw- EA were the publishers of Battlefeild, Digital Illusions were the developers, the ones who made it.

*drums roll* In comes the ultimate EA defender :D EA is really one of those "love it or hate it" kind of companies, usually it's the more so called "rational"(For the lack of a better word) people that denounce, demean, and even HATE EA or at least think they're not good enough, while it's little kiddies and masses that usually get brainwashed to hype them up since the kind of games they make are more suited for them. Take NFSU for example. Only really masses and youngsters like it, very few adults and erm, "real" gamers like it, simply because its ricey culture and arcade style play is meat for the masses and mostly poison for the elders. I think is better at producing console games rather than PC games, and 'sides most of the better PC games are only published by EA not developed. EA has a chance to revolutionize gaming, they just take their oppurtunity for granted. They do still have a lot to learn. The other problem to note about EA is probably the fact that they like to have monopoly control over everyone else and not give them a chance to develop themselves. This wouldn't really be a problem if they were like id Software or Valve etc, but... So therefore if I come across a statistic that shows that the people skeptical over BF2 are more abundant than people confident in it, I wouldn't be surprised one bit. PS People that criticise EA and espacially The Sims without any good reason piss me off even more than blind Bush supporters though.

EA has a chance to revolutionize gaming

Yea another FIFA game is just what we need to revolutionize gaming. EA will never revolutionize anything, they will try and cash in on a title until it is shadow of its former self then make another version and call it GAMEX 2. NFSU was an alright game, nothing too special but alright for a couple of hours play. UFSU2 was crap, total crap. It was exactly the same as 1 but with more product placement and blatant adverts. And thats sums up EAs strategy perfectly. I dont hate the sims for no reason i hate it because it is such a blatant attempt to squeeze every last penny out of the fanbase it puts a bad taste in my mouth. EA must think we are all fuc*ing idiots if they expect us (gamers) to buy the same game over and over and over... but the worst part is WE DO. Its not like EA have done anything good for the gaming community. If they where not around smaller and substantially less evil companys would fill the gap and everyone would be better off.

goddamn! that was soo right! they'll never revolutionize a friggin thing, because they are just too greedy! and as you said : none of us are ever gonna do something about it nor can we, because we can't control the "stupid/not knowing" masses
