I was personally hoping for a new engine myself, mainly for the reason that is TES V had a new engine, the next Fallout game was sure too. The GameBryo isn't a bad engine yet, its just starting to look a little dated unless you install a bunch of high res texture mods. Fallout 3 can still rival the graphics quality of new games with mods.

I think they've done plenty of work with Gamebryo between Oblivion and Fallout 3, not to mention New Vegas. As long as we get more than two voice actors for each race this time, I think I'll be happy. Patrick Stewart making a comeback would also be awesome. =p

Also, obligatory HOLY TITS I AM FUCKING PUMPED

So is it going to be connected to the previous games whatsoever? i mean with easter eggs like mentioning of previous characters and events?

Because I LOVE shit like that.

I remember before the game was "officially" announced, it was said by some sources that Elder Scrolls V would be building off the scenario of the Emperor's throne being empty. In that way we might be seeing a world where the Empire is crumbling apart, possibly a civil war of sorts.

When they had their licensed novel released, there was this description of it on some retail sites before Beth told them to put it down:

"[taking place] forty-five years after the Oblivion Crisis, which is the story of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion game and the expansion pack Shivering Isles. It partly bridges the gap for the next game, which is set 200 years after the Oblivion crisis."

Also, on the topic of the engine, a Beth staff posted this on the forums:

New Engine? - Bethesda Softworks Forums - Page 3

It's an all new graphics and gameplay engine internal to BGS, and it looks incredible

We can't wait to show you more

And from their twitter:

Seeing lots of speculation about #tesv game engine. It's brand new... and it's spectacular!

Mihail;5436801DT and DR attributes?

Damage threshold and damage resistance.

I'd like to see in game as well, I'm kind of tired of these trailers that show nothing of the actual game. CGI is very boring now.

I don't know, this seems to be the norm for teaser trailers nowadays. They don't usually release gameplay until later on.

Even so, they should utilise something in the game. Uncharted 3's trailer was used from in game footage, and it looked just as nice as all of the CGI trailers everyone else used.

People advertise differently. The whole strategy comes down to how you want to release content and information about the game, spaced out enough from the official announcement and release, to keep the hype going.

I too wish they would show game play at the get go, but I also wish for many things.

I'm sure we'll see something soon, given the size of TES and Fallout games, there is enough to show us without giving away everything. Ubisoft showed entire missions from Assassin's Creed before it was even released, I hope Bethesda does the same given the game is most likely much larger..

Eh I'm not complaining. The fact that they're making it is good enough for me. I can wait for gameplay videos.
