Your more then likely seeing people playing it on older systems as window 7 and 8.1 don't support games THAT old.

That is a pretty broad statement m8. Win 7 has much better compatibility with the older games than XP. Granted you may have to install using the wizard but that aside it would pretty much run anything within reason.

I personally am from the old SoF2 game and community and still drag it out every now and again for a game with real people. It runs on my win 7 PC perfectly except it does not support the HD resolutions and ofcourse eyefinity is another no go but I can still run it in full screen but I just have to turn the 2 side monitors off. :) I so wish they would remake that for the modern system that would be amazing.

Guys, anyone want to do an Elite Force game party?

I have win7, I haven't tried running it on this computer yet. But as Goody said, Win7's compatibility mode is pretty good.

Hell, with the DOSbox application, I've even been able to get DOS games running on Win 7. It's a strange sight seeing good old Duke Nukem 3D up on a high res projector, but it's possible!

yeah but I can't get the game to run on win 8.1 it locks up non-stop. I mean I do have an XP computer kickin around that I know I can play it on.
