O.K. This is the dreaded GPF fault that kills everyone. If you shoot some poor slob in the face, and he not only dies but exits the game, you scored the oh so hated GPF Kill. Step one is to have the full game. The patch works, but it GPFs you so bad you might have to reinstall it every time it drops you! I hated that. Then I found out something that kind of worked. You have to install the patch from inside the SYSTEM folder wherever you had the old game installed in. It at least made it so I never had to reinstall, but was still getting GPFed at least once every ten minutes or so! So then we come to Step Two, and the Probably Step Three. Step Two is to uninstall the damned thing and actually get the full install for the 2.1 . Guess what though, it still does it. However there are some fun tips that might help you out. Rule number one is, when dead do not click mouse. That's right. It always happens right as someone dies. So if you are viewing over the shoulder of someone and they get capped, you and them might GPF outta here. Now simple watching your dead corpse will guarantee longer playing, but here's the kicker. You may just get nailed RIGHT as you die. There is no way to dodge that GPF bullet. Sucks, but true. So when you die, (and if you play bridge map like me and fall off of it you can get very very bored lieing in the bottom.......) just lie there and think about how to get better. Probable step three is only a rumor I heard once. It involves deleting all AA references in the Registry. If you don't know how, then DO NOT ATTEMPT. This is the thing that pretty much runs windows. You mess around in it, and you got frustrations you do not need on top of the GPF monster. After deleting AA completely, do the full installation. So have fun. Lie there when dead. And remember it STILL happens to me around once an hour. And to whoever Beta tested this version. I wish you get deployed to Iraq. Cause lord knows how much it sucked over there and YOU actually deserved to have it happen to YOU! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO REPORT BUGS! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! Buck_Atkin is now finished here. There, hope this helps.
