I bought escalation on the day of release having loved the original joint ops. However after about 2 games I realised that the expansion was in 1 word, crap. There are too many vehicles, the new maps suck and the new guns are too overpowered. There just isnt that good old joint operations feel to the game where you could go around, find someone and just shoot them. All you see now are bikes whizzing about guarded by tanks. I think escalation was designed to increase team tactics a bit more by making more contained maps but because most of us are used to the old way of playing, and the fact that the chat function sucks makes this an impossible task. Loads more patches needed methinks

Well, the expansion I thought was good, the weapons it brought were much needed, the game is faster paced, with much better maps. I'm bored already, it's not JO: E that sucks it's Joint Ops in general. The graphics are demanding, yet ugly, compared to something like CS. The weapons sound underpowered, the physics are terrible, with "Death Animations" and frankly it's too spaced out. I no longer like it. The expansion was a step forward, but it hasn't breathed new life into the game...

I really like the game. I enjoy it quite a bit more with squad sized elements, as opposed to the 100 people running around like idiots scenario. With a small room, I love this game.
