well they both have free roam on the map, but I'm kinda stuck at wich one choosing, so what would you choose, or what are the strong aspects of the games? of the downs?

I'd go with Fallout 3, just a personal choice.

Far Cry 2 was a terrible game. Trust me on this one, Fallout 3 was a good-great game. The choice should be obvious.

Far cry 2 looks better, but gets very boring after about a week. Fallout 3 has decent graphics, and has lot more playability.

Fallout 3 does have issues, but they SAY that they're making a patch for it. It also has a lot of replayablility in it, which FarCry2 does not.

Ouch.

Gonna have to disagree with you there.

Voting for FarCry 2. Variety in environment, story line, better physics, originality [the vault concept is cool though].

Both aren't ten-star games on their own, but I do think both are often missed.

Textures are often times low-res with Fallout3, enemies dumb, and you level up far too fast making the exploring aspect of the game a bit worthless.

The lack of mods hurt both games a lot. There are some for Fallout3, but they're not BIG mods like games Halflife or Battlefield get the pleasure of having.

No singleplayer editor option and a gimped-from-the-start editor in FarCry 2 hurt it the most I think. That and some times the controls make me scream obscenities at the screen.

well I like the realism in far cry, like fixing yourself, removing bullets and stuff but the rpg aspect of fallout is realy cool too

The fixing yourself aspect of Far Cry 2 is really only limited to a couple of random healing animations. It doesn't actually matter how you get hit or where. You'll find yourself resetting your arm after being shot, (though I haven't ever pulled out a bullet after a long fall).

Fallout 3. Best game i've played in a long time. I played Far Cry 2 for a couple hours, and haven't touched it since.

There are mods out now that replace nearly every texture in the game with ultra high res versions. They need a bit more powerful PC to play with though. And now with the construction set out, it should be getting some bigger and better mods.
