Guild wars. It makes all those free mmog's look like piles of crap. It has better graphics(but they relly don't matter), and the game is much more refined than a browser based mmog

I am not sure if it could be concidered and mmog, but Bf2 is good aside from all the bugs due to rushed devlopment

I like World Of Warcraft as an MMO, and Guild Wars as a CORPG.

I would say Guild Wars, but since it is not a MMORPG I can't...

Ragnarok Online. Not sure why, but I never really learned to hate it.

Probably WoW, well that's the one I've played longest, AO isn't bad either, in fact it'd be ace if it got a new engine.

Overall, anything that doesn't require a server fee.

Specifically, the only one I've played decently was face of mankind and only for a while. I really don't get into MMOGs right now (or at least face of mankind). In face of mankind, its kind of hard to establish an economic base for yourself, and its hard to go PvP when they have a experienced character and you have a new one. Good thing there's economics. Also, they seem a little more time-consuming than I can afford right now, but I may get back on Face of Mankind again. Hopefully, it stays beta forever, since server fees apply in the final version (and, I know this for a fact, many people will leave the game as a result).

Off the wall but somewhat related question, how much money does it take to keep a server up?

thanx for the link Darkstuarez, that's a good one. also thanks Grimme AO looks fun aswell il be DLing it too. we are on a good track, but im pointing a little more towards the underground/free titles. i do appreciate the others though as im prolly going to get a new game this weekend. as far as the bigger titles what are the best ones without a monthly fee?
