not according to reviews... i never played it though.
Sinister ØneWhich one was the RE with the LIGHTGUN? With gameplay similar to Time Crisis? I never played it but it sounds like a cool idea. Think it was RE Outbreak. Anyhow, just wondering has anyone played it?
I have. its really awful Outbreak is the online one.
I know a lot of you is going to think I'm crazy, but I really like RE 3:Nemesis. The way that monster kept chasing me through Racoon City...aahh,sweet memories. :)
RE : 2 was the best of the series and prolly always will be
RE 3 was a solid game. I like it ALMOST as much as i like 2. Just that i played 2 first so thats why i like it more STAAAAAAARSSSSS.....
its not only that is just such a soild game like u said about 3 it was the best story as well
I didn't make it!
I dont know man RE3 was the same everything as 2, i would say that its a solid game but the first one was was definitly more mindblowing. It had the claustraphobic effect that still scares the shit out of me (especially the remake) and the story is just phenomenal.
RE1 gotta be my choice. It's just the setting, y'know. And the fact that Chris and Jill are almost utterly useless, meaning you really do have to consider survival. The icing on the cake was the graphics in the GC version - the environment was so well-rendered you could get sucked into the game, and on the higher difficulties, if you played in a dark room, you could often get so absorbed that you might end up being scared shitless at more than a few points.
2 and 3 aren't bad, but the characters are tougher, so the survival and horror aspects are somewhat weaker. Plus the setting is more, I dunno, more apocalyptic and less dark and horrifying. RE4 was too much of a TPS for my tastes.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
Resident Evil 2 was the scariest one, in my opinion. The Resident Evil 1 and Zero remakes were pretty cool, and were definitely worth the price for those of us who still only had the original games on the original consoles. :p
Resident Evil 4 was a breath of fresh air, with the new camera, plot, and tons of new gameplay elements. It wasn't nearly as scary as the other ones, though, because Leon was complete bad-ass this time around. :D
I really wonder why Capcom didn't take the time to re-make Resident Evil 2 and 3 for the Gamecube (only a direct port was made). They would have gotten another $80 out of me, and probably a ton of other people as well.
