Are there any good FPS games for an older computer such as mine: P3 800 Mhz 512 MB Ram ATI Rage 128 Pro 32 MB

I'm hoping to get something better in the next month, but for now I need to get away from SC and try something else. Any suggestions?

quake 3 arena, return to castle wolfenstein, call of duty 1 (also, expansion pack united offensive), star wars jedi academy, battlefield 1942 might work well too, wolfenstein:enemy territory, gunz the duel, ...

with all of those, exept quake 3 and gunz u might have lower fps cuz of ur graphics card, but u can give them a try anyway. a friend of mine has a p3 @ 700mhz, 256mb ram and 64mb geforce 4 and he managed to run all of those on high settings, with decent fps. only bf1942 might lag when playing with more than 40 people.

wolfenstein enemy territory and gunz the duel are free, google them. others are pretty old by now so they must be quite cheap by now. they're all good games, RTCW and bf1942 are my favorite and probably ones of the best of all times, personally i dislike call of duty and jedi academy but many people like them and so might you. oh and all of them exept gunz are FPS's, while gunZ is a 3rd person shooter, and has some of the sword combat too.

have fun playing :)

I wouldn't expect to run CoD on that, I have a slightly higher spec machine and on some levels it runs well, but on a couple it runs too slow to play. Like .3 frames per second.

Try Half Life out. It is sweeeet. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault might work too.

If you haven't already, try Half-Life. And if you can get it, buy Jedi Knight 1 (should be available on one of those budget lines). I should think that most of the earlier games to use the Quake 3 graphics engine should work on there, such as Jedi Knight 2, ST: Elite Force. Try Aliens Versus Predator 1 and 2 as well.

Maybe Half-Life, one of the most groundbreaking games in history. I don't the real system requirements for that though.

System Shock 2; end of story. You won't find a better FPS that was made in the twentieth century.
