I always see review sites, like Gamespy use awesome artwork when reviewing games for instance this image: x-menlegends2_spot.jpg was used to link to Gamespy's review of the new Xmen game. And this image: heroes-of-the-pacific.jpg was used to link to one of their reviews for a flight sim. What I want to know is where do websites get these awesome pictures from to use on their site, does anyone know??? If so, I would very much appreciate it if they could reveal where this secret horde is kept :naughty:

generally these are custom pics, ranging from photoshopping scaned images from the game or comics etc or the pictures come from the games company for advertising.

Damnit, there should be like a uber archive or something of game art, that would be so sweet!

I think he would like some links... Depends on what films / games you wish for though: http://www.desktopstarships.com (for sci-fi stuff) http://www.gamingwallpapers.com (for gaming wallpapers) can't think of any others on the spot!

Alot of artwork in games can be found in the books of games. Final Fantasy IX came out with one, with the artwork of the enemies, transportation, characters, etc. You can find them pretty much anywhere in book stores. bradygames-art-of-final-fantasy-ix-playstation.jpg

Conceptual arts like myself are paid by the developer for conceptual art to base their models and textures off of, or simply to get ideas from them.
