This is really annoying me. Every day I read "Gamecube's purple!" "It has cartoony graphics!" "...it's smaller in price...meaning IT MUST BE FOR YOUNGER PEOPLE! ARRR!" Everybody, please! Explain to me as to why you think Gamecube (or just Nintendo) is kiddy ; kid-orientated ; baby ; childish ; not rated R. ...? Please...someone tell me.

Because most of the games are for younger people. There are only a handfull of games that are rated T and hardly any, if any, games that are rated M.

I think people that complain are just shooting there mouths off, or in this case posting ramble. I have all the systems, and I find each one has games for all ages. Nintendo, has great sports, adventure, and horror games, just like the rest. Sure it lacks a DVD player, but thats not a major issue. Purple? Mines black, and I have seen silver, gold and alot of other cool colors that are available. Can't say that for Xbox or PS2 (not talking about the special edition's either).

Mostly people that dis another system are fanboy's of another one. They will post ramble like 'oh nintendo sucks, xbox all the way...ya!!' thus making it just that, RAMBLE. How can you really dislike a system? Are you really happy sticking with one? I myself like alittle variety, and I enjoy having them all and enjoy the Game Cube as much as the others.

Yea most people just ramble on and havent even taken the time to sit down and actually see if the cube is any good. I have a gamecube and an xbox now im buying a ps2 for 50$ in a few days. From what ive seen if you dont like the gamecube because "its mostly rated E" then you havent seen all the games for it yet.

It just doesnt seem to pack a punch like the other two. Sure it has classics like Mario etc but people want more than that. It needs to aim at older people two. Just add a couple of shooters. Yeah I know it has Resident Evil. One..woo hoo. I'm not a fan boy of PS2. I think its the better out of the three though its close to the XBOX. Gamecube's great if you into that kinda stuff. Its especially great for younger audiences. All the rankings of the three consoles have been 1.PS2 2.XBOX 3.Gamecube. Well theres my opinion.

I think Nintendo is the same as it alway's has been. It is us who have grown up. The games are not all that 'childish', it's just the other systems came out with more 'mature' rated games. We then got accustomed to those, and expected the Nintendo to follow, however thats not what Nintendo is all about. Nintendo sitll makes great games, however it sticks to its roots. That's why we see, games like Mario, Zelda, and other classic's still going. I like this because I think it would be cool to have something like that to relate to my children with (none yet, but in the future). But at the sametime, it has games for older audiences as well. This is were games like Resident Evil comes in and others aswell.

I think it's rather ignorant to judge an entire system on the base of several first party games by nintendo. the gamecube has lots of games made by third party developers, but most people like to ignore those, and label the gamecube "kiddy" because of a few games like pikmin and mario sunshine. that's like saying america is a land filled with ignorant retards just because george bush is an idiot.

gizmo made a great point. Yeah, it's not kiddy, it's us, really.

There are more than five REs out, Metroid Prime, well, I don't want to seem like a baby bringing up all these facts, but everyone has to realize that most of the M rated games on XBox and PS2 are third-party and Gamecube has most of them, too. Bloodrayne, Dead to Rights, True Crime, blah blah blah.

JP - I agree 100%

PapaSmurf - well, if you want shooters (FPS) go to PC, I guess, but if you want third-person, then that's fine. GC has Metroid Prime, I think, as the only exclusive FPS. (Which, BTW, is the highest rated console FPS right now)

I just gave my two or three cents, anyone else want to explain?
