I need something portable, light, but importantly, has an external controller, or will support an Xbox Controller, and connect to a TV via HDMI, so it's useful for when I'm travelling and staying at hotels etc.

Would you get a cheap laptop, a Nintendo Switch, or some other kind of tablet or handheld?

I don't have a huge budget, ideally £400 tops.

Well, it sounds like a phone with the adapters meets those criteria.

I'm thinking something that plays more mainstream games and has better support for things like controllers, rather than just mobile games.

PUBG is good with friends, but be warned it runs really really bad. Not so fun on your own IMO.

I realise that it's been not long been discontinued, but the Playstation Vita is an amazing handheld, with some incredible games on it of the mainstream variety, and you'll be able to get both it and its games pretty cheap now.

I already have a 3DS, and it's more than enough. It's portable, there's quite a few games. Heck, some games even give you bonus shit for walking about and passing other 3DS units.

Wrong thread, Chribo :p

Does it have the ability to use an external, i.e. PS4 controller, and plug into a TV via HDMI?

As far as I know, the Vita can't stream to a TV when playing games.

It can Stream to a PS4, but I think you need some hax0rs equipment to stream it to a TV otherwise.

Probably not for me then.

Looking for something I can essentially use as a gaming PC or console but is super portable, so controller and HDMI support.
