I lost my BFII CD key, and contacted their support. After a couple emails and a picture of the disks and case, they sent me a new key.

How did you even manage to lose your CD key in the first place? :wiener: I keep all CD keys of the games I own sticked inside the boxes of the corresponding games with a scotch tape. Never lost even a single one.

I tried that CD key. It didn't work. :p

I'm surprised they gave you one. For all they know you could have bought it used. I do like how they handled DRM. Much more sensible than this always-on stuff.

Lucasarts and EA have very good customer support. EA gave me a free game (OF MY CHOICE) just because they couldn't figure out why my game didn't have any sound. =D

Too bad the latter rapes you with DRM first.

I don't actually care about DRM. =p I'm at the stage in life where if I can't play the game at the moment I'll go and play an older one. These things are not the end of the world like some people would lead you to believe. Do I think it's stupid to use DRM? Yes, but I can live with it. I don't want to start yet another amazingly fun conversation on this topic so that's all I'll say.

I was a bit surprised too, Riles. I told them I bought it years and years ago (I think my gramma actually got it for me for my birthday), new, and they thankfully believed me.

I'm stealing Tricorders idea.
