Listen i am very good with coming up with crazy and good ideas for games. First off if u have not saw the Show "Band of Brothers" dont even type in this thread. Second off my plan is to give this idea that i no will do great with it such as the group that makes Forgotten Hope. Keep up the solid work guys. Anyway the idea of the game is Band of Brothers of course. And all the episodes from the Show would be made into missions. I no it sounds dumb but just think about it. Post ur opinions here plz.:) I respect all groups that make games...espescially the FH group. PS. Sry about Rad guys.:(

Someone call the police, he just murdered the English language!

The series has already been incorporated into virtually every World War II game about the western front since it was released. Making a Band of Brothers computer game would just be beating a dead horse.

Indeed. One of the missions in Call of Duty(the original) is to destroy the guns at Brecourt Manor. Another mission in CoD:UO has to holding Bastogne during the Bulge.

I mean, it's not a TERRIBLE idea. If it was good I would play it. But there are SO many things about WWII that haven't had (good)games made about them.

But i was thinking about making a campaign from every countries point of view. Like one from the germans, japanese, italians, french, and canadians. Not just Americans, Russians and British.

you have no idea of how much people would like AWESOME DETAILED american campaign and not just all the sides, If you have one campaign, then it makes it a better game, just imagine, Super Realistic game in american campaign: 1. Real Uniforms 2. Able to shoot throught boxes, wooden walls, etc 3. Everything is possible to break, EX: tank shoots at wall--> it brakes 4. No limited space in the game EX: No blocked routes, you can walk through bushes. 5. You are able to control the game EX: say what you want, try to ask for Captain to join a fight. And tons more All of this is possible with the new modern software: It shouldn't take more than a year, with a pretty big team.

I would be more excited playing the role of less 'prestigous' units than airborne especially the oft used 101. How about a campaign that traces the british from the fall of france, through North Africa and up the Italian Peninsula? Im not even british but im kinda tired of watching the other key players get dumped on or not represented as well. Have the culmination of the campaign be Market Garden or hell make it Caen.

Lets see some Pacific War campaigns (and no, dont add in a Pearl Harbor mission) Have the story pick up from the Brits fall in Burma or Malay, or American Marines stationed in China during THAT little exercise, moving the story to the Philipinnes and some select island hopping missions (Guadalcanal and Iwo stand at the top of the obvious choices, how about some Solomons, Guam, Saipan, Okinawa battles to liven the mix up eh?)

I dont want to 'reinvent' the genre, just take it to some lesser explored areas. Put some Aussies in there too

add some of the finer aspects of realism to the game as well. Area specific damage modelling (get tagged in the right arm and loose a lot of your weapon using ability. Hit in the leg means no more sprinting and overall all responsive ness such as aiming should be harder slower and degraded as fatigue from extended sprinting and accumulated damage builds.)

put some AI into the enemy. If you smoke 8 out of a 10 man squad the remaining 2 are NOT going to continue to fight, have the AI smart enough to access the situation and make a call (like retreating in the face of overwhelming firepower)

weapon malfunctions/jamming when applicable (if weapon was prone to it, like the sten) add overheating to weapons like the BAR and MG's.

better melee system kinda like COD3's but keep it as unscripted as possible.
