Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
A great Multiplayer game, that's cheap, and that doesn't require a high end computer?... You can't miss with RtCW: Enemy Territory, it's free, highly adictive, has lots of professions and did I mention that it's free??? You can download it at: http://wolfenstein.filefront.com/file.info?ID=14380
Thanks guys. Is there a good rts out there too?

Yes!! Search for "Total Annihilation". It is old now, but in my opinion, it remains unsurpassed as the premier RTS. When playing online, you can share resources, power, even units with your allies. The AI is very good, the air units are some of the best designed ever (you can put you fighters on patrol, you can, infact, put any units on patrol. There is a map editor so you can quickly design multiplayer or single player maps. AND there are over a hundred units available to each side (which can be downloaded from the official site).
- 50 single player missions - Over 150 different land, sea and air units - Unique tracking feature allows you to follow units in to battle - Fully customizable line of sight modes and user interface

You can get it for under a tenner (in U.K.) here: Total Annihilation (Replay DVD Box).
So, is this game a base builder game? It sounds awesome.
Yeah, it's a base builder. Uses basic RTS components. In mamy ways, it's just like the cnc games, but the extras, the unit abilities, make it better. You have 'The Commander'. He's the most powerful unit in the game, and the fastest builder. He had a Disintigration Cannon which destroys anything. Whislt powerful, he is not invulnerable. Losing your commander most likely loses you the game.
You seriously should try it. It's over three years old, but I still play it. It will run on anything from Windows 95 & up (inc. XP).
I dunno, i need better graphics. I'm kinda picky when it comes to graphics.
