just a quick question. is guild wars a game with a lifeless enviornement with npcs just standing around waiting for pointless click and swing combat like morrowind. if not what is it like.

Yes that is how every RPG is(I think morromind IV may be differnet)
have you played gothic? for me that game had a very exellent gaming enviornment with npcs going about some businesses, in morrowind ppl dont even go to sleeep, and gothic also had a pretty fun combat system. i'm not really complaining about morrowind but it seemed kinda lifeless and drab
It depends on what you're looking for. MMORPGs and RPGs may seem similiar, since they're both fundamentally RPG's, but there's a difference between online and offline play. It's simply that Morrowind was designed for a single person to play, whereas Guild Wars was made for multiple people to play at once. Either could appeal to you, depending on whether you like SP or MP games. Now, I've only played Morrowind, so I can really only vouche for it's quality, but Guild Wars didn't look bad for an MMORPG.
i think guild wars does not cost anything to play online, is this true

Yes, but neither does Morrowind cause its a singleplayer game. :D
i already own morrowind and i wish npcs did more life like stuff like sleep travel and do their own crimes which will hopefully happen in guilld wars.

If you're looking for that, I recommend waiting for Oblvion, it's basically a much better Morrowind, with better graphics then Guild Wars.

*cough* Oblivion is an entirely new game, coming out in hopefully Novemeber of this year. Try Googling "Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion" for more information, or preferably, check out our huge, stickied thread on Elder Scrolls discussion.
