I came across this on Kotaku. A game in development in Korea (H.A.V.E. Online) has been accused by the gamers there that it is a rip off of TF2.

Here's a video, and it does look pretty similar, except instead of colorful TF2 flavors, it is animeish women (I guess catering to Otakus?).

Kotaku - Korean PC Game Rips-Off Team Fortress 2 - Team Fortress 2

Sheesh, looking at that video, one can pick out the TF2 rip-offs very quickly. Even the trailer has some stuff knocked off from the TF2 one.

Well, they only seemed to have knocked off the characters and the weapons. It seems pretty Battlefield Heroesy from the trailer. At least they didn't copy the maps.

That map is actually similar to a "Toy Fort" map which is popular on TF2, which originated from UT2004.

And Battlefield heroes shares the same "cartoony" look that TF2 has, but the feeling is different from the antics of TF2. This thing is a straight copy gameplay wise as well.

Battlefield Heroes uses a third person set-up with the same type of crosshair, so they might have combined the two together to make a shitty knockoff.

Copying the characters and stealing them is two different things. I remember a story a while back about a developer that created a game which completely(hard emphasis on completely) ripped off several games. I sadly can't remember the name of the game, but I do remember all retailers took it off their shelves, and the developer was shut down.

On-topic: It looks too much like TF2 to be mere coincidence.

Yea, I remember a thread about that.

This game at least did not directly steal content like Limbo of the Lost did, but it's still a very strong imitator.
