hardware bans are rediculous and should not be allowed permanetly temporary is fine. people dont have enough money to buy a second harddrive here is a petition to stop them or at least comprimise with temporary ranging from a day to a month so if you feel the idea of hardware bans is unfair plz post on the petition.(will be approved after post by beaver) heres the link www.PBhardware-bans-sucks.piczo.comm

If you cheat and it happens to you, then you deserve it. If you've done nothing wrong then it's just tough luck. You could always try and get in touch with someone in charge of the punkbuster software.

Okay. Online Petitions never work.

Get that idea through your head.

The whole point of a permenant ban is to keep the person off for good.

Which makes permenant hardware (mac address) bans PERFECTLY fair. It's a last resort when assholes evade their bans.

When you have a ban set against you, you're not supposed to get around that ban. It defeats the purpose of a fair system. The reason why people have resorted to a hardware ban is because it's expensive to evade it, which deters people. It's the whole point.

So when you are banned, learn your lesson.

not exactly for every hacker banned 9 innocents are banned and its always the hacker with enough money for a new hardrive

either way like i said a comprimise would be to ban for a set length of time depending on the offense

And your source for your statistics is?

I am, by definition, a hacker (white hat, of course). Yet ,I do not have money for a new hard drive.

And I believe they use the mac address of the modem, do they not?
