No, but it looks pretty cool though. I don't have a Wii either...

Nope, I played the first Dead Space demo on the 360. The demo was okay, but I didn't really like it. I don't have a Wii though so I guess that cuts it for me.

I've completed the PC version of Dead Space for a major part, and I can most certainly conclude that this game has one of the best horror atmospheres, ever. I know, it can become kind of repititive if played on easy mode. But if done on a higher difficulty, I'm pretty sure the game's enjoyable for most fans of horror / sci-fi games. I don't want to spoil anything, so I guess I'll my speech to this. As for the demo, nope.

Some Wii owners have disagreed with me, but I find the look of the Wii version to be somewhat less immersive and realistic than the PC version (which I've played a few times through), esp for a horror game that showcases up close battle involving melee at times.

With the Wii you only get a floating cursor onscreen, so you never see the character's body and can't do those awesome foot stomps and weapon smacks, nor do you see any death animations as far as I know, one of the best parts about the PC version.

Dead Space was meant for and looks/plays best in 3rd person perspective. Turning it into a glorified browser game with nothing of yourself visable or useable other than a floating cursor is sacrilege to such a title IMO, and much too arcade-like in gameplay.

That being said, I was quite surprised by the quality of the graphics in DS: Extraction from videos and screenshots I've seen. It's perhaps one of the Wii's best titles as far as image quality. I was also very surprised (and rather upset) that this is a Wii exclusive.

I just can't understand why in the world they made it a Wii exclusive. The PC version of DS is one of my favorite games. I'm glad this is just a prequel to the original though, the story of the colony was told pretty well already, so hopefully we will still be getting a sequel that picks up where the first ended.

EA Redwood which made the first Dead Space ended up being renamed to something that I dont recall, moved there studios, and is now working on production of the sequal for ps3, pc, 360. I agree with the above comment that the wii version practically distroys the type of game dead space 1 is. A browser style game as this one is, is nothing like the original.
