OLD, LOOK at the other one :) Here is the new map (unmolested) Map-1.png

and drawn on Mapdrawn.png

------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to use multiple versions of minecraft (some with mods, older versions, etc) I HIGHLY recommend using this tool!

Good tutorial on use How to easily switch between Minecraft versions

Download page Digiex - Digiex Minecraft Launcher Download

Direct download http://minecraft.digiex.org/dlfiles/mclauncher.jar

Short and sweet instructions: Instead of using minecraft.exe to start the game, use the mclauncher.jar that you downloaded.

It will give you an option to use any minecraft.jar's you have, and some that aren't even named minecraft.jar. just pick one from the dropdown menu and click login.

To download other versions of minecraft, click Options > Jar downloader and pick your version. (It downloads like 500X faster than the updater as well!)

The server will use final1.2.5.jar

----------------------------- THE NEATHER IS LAGGY? FIX IT!

so, for those who want to use the nether... notch broke it. His new lighting doesn't work so well. But, I can has a fix! Here is a Vanilla 1.2.5 minecraft.jar that has the fix installed. Just put it into %appdata%\.minecraft\bin\ and if you are using the Digiex launcher, just pick it from the list (or install your mods) Digiex - Digiex Minecraft Launcher Download -Highly recommended launcher http://portalkerr.info/files/final_1.2.5-netherfix.jar -.jar file with fix preinstalled or, install this fix yourself Nether Lag Fix (Client) - Minecraft Forum (Install just like any minecraft mod)

OR OR, rename my file to minecraft.jar if you are opposed to use the launcher

Crazy Wolf;5625700Fantastic. I look forward to constructing a massive canal to link that forest river with that snowy lake.

Use this thread :p

Btw I think the easiest way to build that canal would be to start where the river ends in the south, and go up through the swamp. like 1/5 the digging.

EDIT: oh, and there are some Very large flat areas in the mountains too.

Since O&O told me he dislikes floating terrain, I've taken the liberty of blowing it all up.

I see what you mean. I think there's several options. Why, looking at the map again, I suppose I could connect that inland lake just north of the Spawn to the bodies of water on either side. Fast transportation that doesn't require precious iron, woo!

Yay!

To be honest though, I'd use 1.2 and install Bukkit when it gets updated.

Well, Good idea. I didn't think about doing that.

So... I'm restarting on the spawn point, and we're getting a TOTALLY different world :p

Better this way I guess.

well, two hours, 13 different seeds, three Forrest fires, one breakfast, and ~ 1000 blocks later...

A New world

I've made a N00blet lodge, it has some tools and armor (and food!) to get people started. (as well as a bunch of beds up top)

I'm going to start building my stuff in the mountains, on survival mode with no OP h4x lol.

Still on sched. for internet install.

Tekkit makes my game run pretty slowly, which is a shame because it's a lot of fun...
