i extracted both files, but i don't know what to do next. thx
How about installing them in, I suggest you start with first installer, when that is done, klick number 2;)
I have not downlaoded the 2 part donwlaod but if only 1 of the files is actually an .EXE and the otehr is not, just make a new folder put both files in that folder and run the exe, this should install AA2.7, if that is what u got, if not then u just run the 2 installers.
The only exe file is the file batch dl on #2 but thats only for server manager.///
I never saw a setup.exe icon !!!!
jbwrxstii extracted both files, but i don't know what to do next. thx
Instructions here: http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?t=229734 did not seem to make a diff; again self extracted to a 'suppossed' read to go file AGAIN: never saw a setup exe icon anywhere -
now going 3dgamers and see if i can get better results
3Dgamer appeared to have a single file dload but would only xmit a "non 32bit" file. I have yet to find any single install.exe file. Following instructions from Index, AA automatically provided the usually known files to a folder, however, initializing the game, ya' got the bugles and thereafter 'hung up'. Additionally, it was if AA was a standalone file - absolutely no registry entries. Also attempted Boomtown.com, that also is a split file ... at an absurd rate of 23, even lower than File Planet which was 35. I have capacity of 100+ but I can't find anyone that will do it.
This is the worst ever v for me to DLoad and install and I've been since v1.7. A deja vue of Devs doing what ever that only complicates things ...: "Oh, ok, let's make more maps !!! Maybe that will distract every one from existing problems, eh ?? "Don't worry 'bout the old bugs, just make new maps !!!! "I know, I know ! Yea ! We dilute with more maps and soon there won't be 'nuff players on any one map that we can't blame their problems on equipment inadequacy ! "Yea, yea, dats da' ticket !!!"
"BTW, we DO GET PAID TAXPAYER DOLLARS, yea ? "
"Yep, make new maps, akkkkkkkk, first time callers need not apply, :) "
