hey there. like the title says i just want to give some tips and steps on how to do a ametuer game review. i have studied the art of many game reviewers and asked for their help. im also bored so im just doing this as a timekiller (die time) but anyways. there are 2 ways you can review a game. you can record preplayed footage. or you can review on the fly. but let me give some broad tips. 1. when talking about the story. you are looking for plot twists, if the story has been done before, how well the game plays the story. like if your playing a wwII shooter then all of a sudden the US blows up, plot twist. but before the plot twist it played the history part very well. and your also looking for HALO 2 cliff hangers. 2. graphics: its a little hard to explain but ill try my best. youll want to look at lighting, how the models look and animate, is there a wide and vast scenery, how well do things like foilage and rocks look.do the spell look pretty or do the weapons look badass. also special effects 3. gameplay: are the controls responsive, are they late, or are the button combination stupid or buttons in stupid places. will things like AI give you a challange. is the game linear, or strategic. are your play areas vast. is it action packed, are there puzzles involved? alright so i think that covers it. also when you narrate preplayed footage you will probably need a script. on the fly reviewing pretty much speaks for itself.:p alright this was hard for me to type and hopefully you all will understand it.:uhoh: if you have anything to add into my madness of a guide please go ahead.:nodding: alright enough smilies and i am eager to see what you all have to say about my guide or anything you would like to add, or any questions you have. goodnight.

Like nanobot said- Sound. The audio experience. Also, you could mention art style which would come under graphics. And atmosphere...well...it's a combination of pretty much everything which is extremely important for games like Bioshock. Under graphics I think it's important to mention the technical side of things..How well does the graphics run on mid-range PC's etc. or if theres any frame rate issues or visual glitches in console games as well.

ok... well... does the music fuel the atmosphere? do the spell you use or the weapons sound heavy and powerful? srry but as a ametuer reviewer myself. i really dont know much about critisizing sounds. music and effects. maybe. voice acting i dont have a clue how to tell if its good or bad.

like, does the music fit in the situation? is the music unpleasant to the ears? do the guns sound realistic? ect.
