Hi I need help. I bought yesterday the rome total war gold edition and when i try to install it there's a warning saying "An older version of rome total war has been detected and must be uninstall before continuing to download Rome total war gold". I remember that I had downloaded a rome total war demo before. But I already uninstall it a long time ago. I manually deleted some files on my hard drive that i think connected to the demo that i installed before. but i still cant download the game and the same warning come up. what should i do??? please help..... thanks......

Have you tried going into your control panel and then at programs to see if it is still registering on there? Question is, a demo shouldn't make any difference if you're installing a new game (yeah, it makes sense to get rid of it, but technically, you don't need to), so I'd make sure that the new game disc is good. If I were you, I'd take it back and get another copy and if the problem remains, look specifically more on your pc.
Yeah, try a full hard drive sweep. That could be the problem.
