crysis, you meet the requirments, min to med. so thats what i think.
Yeah, i've played crysis. It is pretty awesome, but both other games look better than Crysis, because my card is only the bare minimum. (I knew you would say crysis)
Hmm... COD4. Since overall I would say it offers the best value and wouldn't have a problem running and looking great on that rig of yours. It has excellent singleplayer and multiplayer which should keep you occupied for a while, and is well worth the money. I would say go with Crysis if you're looking for a primarily single player experience but hey...Crysis requires a darn super rig...and if it cant run well/look good on your PC then I would pick it up sometime after an upgrade.Because you would be losing out a bit on the experience.Although GoW offers great singleplayer and Multiplayer , it requires quite a PC to look great. No where near the realms of Crisis's requirement's since it's UE3 which is pretty optimized.I dunno if you've tried the UT3 demo but that would give some performance indication at least. If you are more inclined to 3rd person shooters then GoW is a certainly a great game. But still...looking at all 3 games whilst taking your specs into account...you wont be disappointed with COD4 and you know it's gonna run well. It's pretty much the best FPS of the year.
Thank you very much for your input! I actually have Ut3 on my comp, and it runs without a problem.I have played CoD4, and it is quite good, but i heard it was short. Crysis does work on my Comp, but even Far Cry's (PC) Graphics look better. I'm not quite a fan of 3rd person shooters on PC, but one of my friends has played GOW, and they say its awesome. But, i've heard the tactical controls handle better on PC than Xbox. I must say, you certainly have changed my thoughts;) I don't think i can get a nvida card update, because (as my nearby computer shop says) The only card that will fit in the card slot is a 7600 Geforce. I had a 6600 nvida a few months ago, and about a month after, it blew out. I would love to get an 8600 Nvida card but i doubt it would live more than a month.
COD4 single player I guess is kinda short, but so is Crysis for that matter (I played through and completed it quicker than COD4 actually) Question is...are you really into multiplayer gameplay or prefer a solo experience? (or both!) because the COD4 single player is perhaps short but full of action and great variety, and is one of the most intense FPS I've ever played(As the series is known for.Ok , i'll stop with the brackets now) The multiplayer is pretty darn fun since the chaos translates to multiplayer and it's pretty addictive with lots of different modes and a kinda RPG system where you can rank up and customize your character etc,so it should keep you playing for a while long after the campaign. As far as I'm aware right now the multiplayer in Crysis is standard deathmatch etc. but with the added fun of nanosuits. But apparently suffering from a few technical issues till they patch it up...overall..I guess it's worth a look at but the singleplayer is where it shines.Maybe you should wait like other people till you can finally upgrade to play the game looking reasonable...I've got an 8800 GT, 3GB RAM and an AMD Athlon fx-57 and I just about run it at medium settings. Maybe I need a processor upgrade or something but good lord, the system requirements are mad.
And as for GoW ,it offers lots of different modes online and is fast and frantic and generally great fun. I own GoW for both 360/PC and I definitely think the PC version handles better control wise, it did for me anyway. It's pretty much the definitive version with the added visual splendor, extra chapters and smooth controls. And the extra chapters makes the single player campaign a good length. It's a shame theres no demo for you to try on this one...so it's a little hit and miss if you're not much of a fan of third person shooters.
The only mp game i'm actually good at is BF2142:(. Well, after playing the COD4 Demo yet again, i found it is very intense and frantic, and All the reviews of it seem positive. But the reviews for All 3 games seem to be 8,9,or 10/10. I'm eager to see how the Chainsaw/SMG handles in GoW! Well, i guess i have to do some thinking over the next week or so. I've heard that Assassins Creed is also for PC soon, is that right?

It should be out by the first quarter of next year.I'm guessing by March 2008 then...since unfortunately it was delayed on PC.Hmm... seems like the nearest official date is 15th of February. Should be out then if all goes to plan.

I'd say call of duty 4 hands down. I though that the single player campaign was very well done and pretty intense and I loved the ending. Plus the fact that multiplayer is addicting as ever. Get COD4, you can't go wrong with it.
