* In a dream... Heh, sorry, had you all going there for a moment. It was a great dream though! Ironically however, since i had that dream a couple of days ago, the Mass Effect 3 demo has actually been 'leaked' on the Xbox 360 months before it was due to be released, and though i loath consoles, i have seen the videos that some lucky beggars posted. So i have in effect seen the (unfinished) beginning of Mass Effect 3, which seems like a weird fulfilment of that dream i had. If you want to check out the videos, go here: http://www.mediafire.com/?3hannhjigofl9 The file MEB - YouTube4.flv has the beginning cinematics, though apparently not the whole thing and they are unfinished, but this should keep us Mass Effect fans going for a while longer! I was hoping my dream would make a cool story, but since you can now actually watch the beginning of ME3, its not quite as cool any more, but here is how it went anyway: A person is watching a news report on TV, when suddenly they look out of the window and see a large object coming from the sky. The object is a Reaper, which then shoots at a building which promptly disintegrates and the woman on the news says that they have breaking news as the people in the news room start panicking. It then cuts to a court like building where Shepard is standing trial for the events of 'Arrival' when a person walks into the room saying they have urgent news for the commander. The action them moves outside as Shep and another, presumably Anderson fight off husks. He then contacts someone (Ashley?) and says that the Normandy is in a space dock on the other side of town where it was undergoing some upgrades. They get about 2/3rds of the way to the space dock before the Normandy arrives and picks them up. The dream gets a bit weird from here on in. The inside of the Normandy is all made of wobbly cloth, and Shep is greeted by one of the new officers who takes him on a tour of the ship which apparently now has wood panelled naval styled bedrooms with huge beds and portholes. He then takes Shep down to the engineering areas, which Garrus then explains are not finished as the ship had not finished its upgrades. This part made me think that these areas were not going to be installed 'till Tuesday' (ehehe did you get the reference? ;)) Apparently some of the engineering area is flooded with water in which are lying the bodies of a couple of Krogan mercs that Shep defeated in past battles. After that the last thing I remember is that they found a secret locker behind a wall with some secret documents about an attack on the Quarians. And that was my very fun dream. Yes I have seem some actual footage of the beginning of ME3 now, but I can tell you that was one of the best dreams I have had in ages! I hope you enjoyed that little stories, and the real ME3 videos! ;) Nozy
I already finished Mass Effect 3 in my dreams. I really didn't expect Sovereign to end up being Shepards mother, and the Illusive Man being Shepards father, lol!
What a twist! :Panic:

I know Bioware likes their plot twists, so... you never know! "No Shepard, I am your father... this hurts you"
Or maybe Shepard is actually a farmer from medieval times who was dreaming this whole time.
I've been having a lot of cool dreams lately, but nothing related to games, unfortunately.

I had a dream where Mass Effect didn't exist, but I didn't know it didn't exist, because it didn't exist. So basically it was just a dream that had nothing to do with Mass Effect.
I've only started playing ME1....

Thanks for the link, Nozy. I won't check it however, as I prefer to not see anything of Mass Effect 3's game-play until the release. I dislike spoilers, even those ones. Nothing's better than to discover the introduction to ME3 myself. =p

Shame on you, seriously. How could you possibly not have played a game that has won, probably, the most awards for an RPG or game in general?
Mass Effect series, definitely the best franchise the world has ever experienced.

In other words: what the fuck, get moving.

Tsk tsk... :vikki: On the plus side, at least you wont have to wait years to see how the trilogy ends! That is one of the advantages of coming to something late...
To anyone looking to jump into the Mass Effect verse very late into it's lifespan, get the PC version of all 3 games.
Don't make the same mistake I did with playing Mass Effect 1 on an Xbox for the first time. The control system was poorly implemented.
Mass Effect 2 is one of my all time favorite games, but only because I played it on PC! :D
