set in Nam.

I have had a lot of interest in that subject lately and I was wondering if there are any good games out or coming out.

Battlefield Vietnam is the only one that comes to mind, but I've never played it so I couldn't really tell you just how good it is.

Vietcong and its expansions remain high on my list of favorite games. The AI is pretty good, and coop is included. I've had a lot of fun with that game.

The only good Vietnam games made IMO are Vietcong and Line of Site Vietnam. VC is more squad based with the ability to go loud if you wish. LoS is mainly a stealth based game where you must be careful not to get spotted. BF Vietnam is mp only and dominated by experienced pilots, and the aircraft are not easy to fly. Vietcong is not bad (I have VC Purple Haze with the Fist Alpha expansion), but there's one mission in the expansion (Operation Fist Alpha - Field Guns Battery) where it's near impossible to sneak up on a AA camp without sounding an alarm and failing the mission. I never completed it because of that. Because of that I liked LoS Vietnam better, but keep in mind it was mainly due to that one mission in the Fist Alpha expansion. Both have older rather outdated graphics and released in 2003. If you want to get Vietcong, Purple Haze offers the most value, but good luck getting past that AA battery mission because it's very hard and there are no cheats that help there. Even the walkthrough I read said it's very annoying and involves a lot of trial and error and/or luck. I don't recommend Vietcong 2, which didn't rate very well, runs slow, and doesn't have any better graphics. Line of Site Vietnam is OK too, though the maps can start to feel a bit repetitious. It's fairly challenging and has some nice weather and nightvision effects, though it's graphics are a bit outdated by today's standards. It's a game where you have to really be careful advancing and look hard for enemies. It can take a few tries playing through a map until you remember where the enemies are.
