>Omen<;4923059Though I worry about system requirements and optimization, as well as wonder why the screenshots look much better than the video footage in image quality.

That makes me wonder too. Though i bet that good Core i7/Phenom II X4 with either 4870/GTX 260 or 280 will be sufficient enough, time yet to tell. Then again, by the time of late Autumn, possibly November/December timeframe YouGamers or SEGA itself will give official sys reqs. Or maybe even sooner. About the screens look better then this trailer's image quality : what do you mean ? So far i looked @ the visuals in the entire trailer & can tell that it actually looks better then any game screens i saw throughout the net. (not that i saw many, though) You probably mean that because screens caught are static, it actually make a lighting & chars/enviro details look better. If that's the case then you right, it makes such illusion. But nothing beats all the details & lighting of this game in action. I yet to see Marine vs Aliens gameplay demo in crumped spaces & outdoors. Bet the details will be even better.

XanLord;4922086I knew you pop up with something like that. Absolutely true. Still you have to admit it was nice try. BTW long time no see, glad to see your reply mate. What were your thoughts about the trailer ? Looks promissing ? I loved it. Also you already have AvP 2 forum @ GF. How long will it take to see forum entitled "AvP series" instead of plain-Jane AvP2 ? Take care, Zama. :)

Haha, just doing my job. And yeah, where the hell have you been?

I'm sure once the game is released, we'll add an AvP3 section to the AvP forum. Poke n0e about it if it's not up by release day.

Zamamee;4923325Haha, just doing my job. And yeah, where the hell have you been?
Yeah you do it & you do it good. (your job, lol) As for where the hell i've been : the usual being there, few times done that. jk But if seriously, had to find the job, cruise around the Tel-Aviv's pubs & stuff, earning some cash for Wacken, etc..... Even had accident at a job recently though it slowly taken care of. Nothing fancy. :)
I'm sure once the game is released, we'll add an AvP3 section to the AvP forum. I'm sure it will have to happen eventually. Keep the spirit. As for poke the n0e : a) is he here ? Is he HERE ???!!!!!!! b) poke him ? How ? Or with what ? I didn't drawn a "Ban Me" sign on my forehead, as one of your smileys suggests, let alone one of forum rules. Unless you say it's ok.

I plan on a Core i7 clocked to at least 3.6GHz, top of the line GTX 300 series GPU, and 6GB low latency RAM on an X58 Gigabyte MB with 2000MHz bus and probably W7 OS.
About the screens look better then this trailer's image quality : what do you mean ? I was referring to these screens bud posted in that other thread I was talking about, except for the last screen, which doesn't look so good. : http://forums.filefront.com/general-gaming/401093-new-aliens-vs-predator-2010-ingame-screens-released.html

Mostly what I'm talking about is how washed out the colors look in the video footage and how the AOL (Ambient Occlusion Lighting) seems to be overdone like it is in many games now. I prefer more contrast to light and shadow effects, like FEAR 1 had. The textures also look noticeably higher res in the screens too. I was hoping the poorer image quality was due to them using the console versions of the game as a visual demo and/or the compression of YouTube to make it stream fast.

It could just be that many of the scenes in the footage are done in areas where the Marines have bright flood lamps set up, but IMO they could still make it look better than that. It has the look of a game more than real life, too much so.

Blame the later. :) Poor YouTube friars, lol. Just kidding. Almost forgot about it. The compression to stream the vid faster, that's the cause i bet. BTW : saw those screens, i beleive they were Photoshop'd to make you feel like you actually in the game, i think. The only thing needed in this case is actual HD gameplay demo, rather then taping someone playing the demo. A 3in1 (Pred, Alien, Marine) gameplay trailer will do the trick. :) Hope YouGamers, or any other gaming site (GH, IGN, etc...) will post some HD gameplay trailer once it's available.

Looks good. Looking to the co-op ACM myself though.

^Better be off with MP mayhem featuring either Marine, Alien or Predator. What better way to play the Alien itself for example, instead of playing strictly against it ? (which is the case of ACM) Then again, nothing is wrong with that game either. Both produced by SEGA, btw. And wait : how could i forget that Rebellion did AvP:R for PSP ? They made Predator co-op & the Wolf Pred's wrists thingys (where the wristblades located) looking strangely enough similar to both movie (AvP:R) & AvP3. Great Alien/Predator year is expected, nevertheless.

Sorry for double post, it's just i saw there's no activity in this thread so i give it the extra push. If you didn't/haven't saw the latest & greatest trailers cruising YouTube, here they are : 1)YouTube - Aliens vs. Predator (AvP) official game trailer for PlayStation 3 (PS3), Xbox 360, PC - 'Story' [HD] 2)YouTube - Alien Vs Predator - Official Multiplayer Trailer [HD] Last thing : you probly know, but in case & you don't i have a suggestion - look @ any PC/X360/PS3/etc... games Release Lists sites out there in Web (ToTheGame in my case) for release date. :D P.S. Be sure to check the HD button in both trailers windows !!! Seriously ! Take care, all.
