I'm trying to install the full version 2.8.3 from the aa283fullinstaller_filefront.exe, size 1,997,748 kb, and I get an error pop up when the installer gets to the decompression stage, saying "Error Copying File. Unable to Copy FIle: The system cannot find the file specified". I've freed up as much disk space on C: as I can, and have 7.75 GB free on C:. I've also relocated my internet and Winnt temp directories to another drive. When I do the install, I do a custom install so I can relocate the installed files to a drive other than C:. I'm running Windows 2000 SP4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated. Thanks.

When you downloaded the file, did you click 'Save as' or 'Run'?

I'd suggest downloading with a download manager and saving it in your 'My Documents' folder.

Thanks for the reply. I've saved it to a drive other than C: to save space on C:. I've freed so much space on C: now that I can copy it over to C: and see if installing it from there helps.

Well, still no luck. I can see the files that have been extracted from the cab, and even decompress some manually using the decompression exe they provide... Anyone else have suggestions?

This thread in AA forum appears to have the answer...I'm going to try it. "http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?t=274581&page=2"
