Mast3rofPuppetsWow, you seem to take it very personally :uhm:. Each to his own. I didn't like SA, but that's just me. Don't take what I say too seriously. I really liked Vice City, but I didn't like San Andreas at all. I liked Vicy City because of the feeling, all the '80's stereotypes and such. I didn't like SA because I didn't like the whole gangsta style, and you had to do all these boring stuff like go to the gym. I guess you could say that it didn't have the same feeling as Vice City. You need to chill down Amy, what's up with the personal attacks just because we don't like the same computer games?

No attacks hun, just over stating my point a lil to much maybe,, Iam chill lol, its all good.. I just have had to deal with this alot in the gta forum. Nothing personnal..Hugs

Oh and to Oblivious , its just not the new gta that will come out on Ps 3, the new Metal Gear.. I cant wait..

PS3 is fine, it'll be ported to PC eventually and (until then) I happen to be a PS person myself... I honestly don't care where the locale is, as long as they get it back to Mafia-land. In fact, I would enjoy gameplay like Mercenaries, where you arbitrarily choose to do missions for a variety of factions, which leads to more missions, different parties unlocked, and a constantly changing response from other factions (rival and allied). Consider it: If you work for the Mafia, you can unlock their resources such as garages, safehouses and weapons shops (inaccessible if you worked for another group), but you would be attacked by the enemies of the Mafia. Or, you could make a deal with law enforcement and fight missions with access to police backup, etc. Fun factions: Mafia Yakuza (I loved them best out of GTA3) Drug trafficers Police Private contractors Side-missions (procure this from X faction's territory) ___________________ Actually however, a locale with more water would be fun. It doesn't have to be Amsterdam or Venice, but a place with a lot of canals would be great. Boats were always underrated in the last GTA's, and I want to see boat modding, boat garages, and boat missions (GTA3 had a very few, San Andreas surprisingly had NONE that I can recall, except the Kill Ryder one). Also, a variety of utilities (like night vision in SA) such as scuba gear, spear guns and flippers, could come into play then.

Oh, I'm pretty much looking forward to it.. I hope they won't delay the PC-game just like with SA, so all PC owners have to wait another halve year. Well anyway, I hope it's gonna be cool.

Mast3rofPuppets That would just kick so much ass! They'll probably do fictional cities, but meh :p .

Well, they will do fictional names, but cities, don't know. I mean, with SA, all three the cities weren't entirely fictional (Las Venturas being Las Vegas, etc). I hope they do Amsterdam, as well. Actually, I think there is a pretty big chance Amsterdam is in it, as it's in Europe, and has the right atmosphere.
That's pretty much how it was in GTA2. I was sad they had essentially dropped that for GTA 3, but the game was such an incredible innovation otherwise, it didn't bother me all that much.
I dont think there is anythingelse they can do with gta after san andreas... just improve graphics IMO..

I think we may be pleasantly surprised with the next incarnation. Graphics will obviously be much better, but I imagine there will be alot more in store for us in the next one. I could live without it, but I hope they finally figure out a way to get multiplayer implemented.

And to AmySue, I'm sure I'll end up getting one. I'll just flash the sad puppy dog eyes look  at my wife and she'll eventually submit to my childish gaming needs. She's letting me build a $2000 pc now, so what's another $400-500 for a console.... :D

'Subaru'I dont think there is anythingelse they can do with gta after san andreas
Oh, I would never go that far. We've never seen cold weather like sleet or snow (imagine a nitrous-fueled cop chase through a metropolitan area in snow WITH frozen roads. Is your heart beating faster just thinking about it?). Larger areas, more interiors, more realistic vehicle damage (it's come a long way since GTA 3, but even the hyped up 'Leave your car out and it gets dirty/rusty' system in SA turned out to be an empty promise- I've never had a car get dirty). Weapons such as nailguns, boxing gloves; vehicles like an expansion of the before-now-underplayed boats/motorcycles types. New characters, cultural references and parodies. There's ALWAYS room for growth.

-EDIT-
I'll just flash the sad puppy dog eyes look at my wife and she'll eventually submit to my childish gaming needs.

If only all men were as lucky...

Stockholm's right here ;). And yeah, there's LOADS of new stuff they could add to the GTA genre. I've always wanted a pogo stick :p.

CyberRaptorAwww...the UK? GTA: London was alright, but they drive on the wrong side of the road. I'll never get used to that. Oh well, who obeys traffic laws in that game anyway?

Hey, we managed it and so can you. Hell, I was playing GTA and Mafia while I was learning to drive and I still managed it. Although... no, we don't need to talk about those incidents here.
