I'm excited, i was just playing Predator concrete jungle and AVP2 today when i thought "man, when are they gonna come out with some new Alien/Predator/AVP games?" Then i go check on gamefaqs to see (i guess i do this kind of regularly :P ) to see if theirs any new listings for any new Alien/Predator/AVP games, and I actually found 1! Did a little research and heres what i found. New AvP Game Official, Aliens: Colonial Marines Delayed It's been confirmed by sega and is scheduled to release in 2010. And guess who's developing it... REBELLION!!!! The creators of the first AVP game on PC! That game was probably the best in the entire AVP gaming franchise, i mean now that i know Rebellion is developing it, it's going to be a KILLER classic title, yet again, just like the first one they made (aswell as the one on the jaguar).

Ive been waiting for a new AvP game for ages, and from Rebellion huh?, I never got to play the first AvP since I could not get it to work on my PC back then, but I thoroughly played AvP2, now granted that wasn't by Rebellion, but I still found it to be a very fun game, I actually ended up getting pretty good playing as an alien online, and if they make this one at least as good as AvP2, I will be happy.
Will be watching this very closely. :D

Awesome. New AvP game. I hope this pans out well.
You guys must have missed my mention of it in this thread. Too bad it's been delayed, but not surprised really. It's a fairly ambitious list to be honest. http://forums.filefront.com/general-gaming/393784-game-your-looking-most-forward-2009-a.html

You mentioned Aliens Colonial Marines, not Aliens vs. Predator.
bud389;4828684You mentioned Aliens Colonial Marines, not Aliens vs. Predator.
The title you linked to IS Aliens: Colonial Marines.
You said you were looking for an AvP type of game, and found Aliens: Colonial Marines, unaware of it's existence to the point of spreading the news here as if no one else knew about it either. It's been known about by many for some time.
Sega announced it over a year ago: ALIENS

Did you even read the whats in the link? "It's true, folks; Sega and 20th Century Fox officially confirmed an all-new Aliens vs. Predator (working title) game, scheduled to arrive in early 2010. The game is currently in development at Rebellion, creators of the original 1999 Aliens versus Predator" NOT, the aliens FPS or the aliens RPG, sega has assigned 3 different games involving the aliens, one of them being AVP, to 3 different developers, the FPS goes to gearbox, the rpg goes to the creators of neverwinter nights, and the AVP game goes to rebellion... and NO, this wasn't announced a year ago. (the Aliens game, yes, the AVP game, NO) So clearly, your mistaken.

I'm more excited for the Aliens: Colonial Marines game, mainly because of the coop.
bud389;4828859So clearly, your mistaken.
The only thing mistaken is the title of your link. Why would I bother reading the article when both the link and the title of the article only indicate Aliens: Colonial Marines being pushed back?
And I concur Serio, Aliens: Colonial Marines sounds like the more interesting title anyway. The AvP one will probably just be watered down sequel garbage, just like the last AvP movie was.

To be honest I'm worried about two things.
a) Sega b) that it will release alongside consoles and as such have a dumbed down interface and level design :(
