It seems to me, as a player of DF, DF2, JK, JK:MoS, JKII, and JKA... that JKA has reached the end of its life, and it is begining to die. Not to say that it wasn't a great game, which it was, but, as a member of the community for almost all of the games, I've seen the begining of a cycle...
Dark Forces Dark Forces 2 Expansion: Mysteries of the Sith
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast Expansion: Jedi Academy (Not really an expansion, but sort of)
So, I think we are due for another 5 year wait my friends...
Anyone else think so?

Not so much. I think The Force Unleashed is ample evidence that they're dropping the JK series for something newer and fresher. And honestly, I think the series has lived to a ripe old age and needs to stop now. Kyle's getting too old.
Ha, so true...
But like I said... I think her growing days are over...
Slightly Off-Topic: What exactly is the Force Unleashed about? Like what kind of Gameplay... etc. I haven't seen any trailers, just some short bits about it...
The Force Unleashed is a game in which you play as Vaders apprentice to kill Sidious. It'll have revolutionary new systems (eg: euphoria and dmm, youtube them). I have never been a member of the online community for this game but the modding community is definately going down, and I think the JK series is on its last leg. However, KoToR fans can rejoice (slightly) because I read in EGM that there are talks at Lucasarts of an online mp KoToR game in the works. Problem is, it will probably be pay monthly to play, which is crap. As if 40-60 dollars isnt enough for a game... I dunno what kind of gameplay for TFU, but Im guessing it'll be kinda JKish but with more control.
In that case,
I may need to drop Star Wars Galaxies...
It's been dying for awhile now. It probably hit it's peak sometime in 2004-2005 and has slowly declined since. I'm guessing it has momentum for at least 1-2 years, though.

Although, I think we'll see a spike in people playing JK2 or JK3 since the northern hemisphere summer holidays are approaching. Although, I think after that, the game will continue to slowly pass away, as it has been since the beginning of this year.
most mod are never finished too, and the force unsleashed has overpowered force i must say, (uber force!)
The Force Unleashed supposidly is being released for which sysytem? I thought it was going to be like Xbox 360 and PS3? (Back on subject) I'd have to agree, JA is definitly winding down, and modding is most likely going to leave us first. Without Anyone who wants to mod for an old game, everyone will start to leave JA for somthing better. It happened with Battlefront 1 also, except that one got left by everyone because of Battlefront 2. (edit): Ive also noticed the amount of threads talking about problems w/ JA and how things are starting to die off, aka FFA Is Dead.
Well, it is a 4 year old game with an 8 year old engine. If it wasn't a Star Wars game, it probably wouldn't have lasted more than 6 months at most.
