Now I'm sure we all have games that have just.. come to life? Before us. The last game that ever did that for me was the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A pinnacle masterpiece in gaming. Currently ranked IGN's #1 best game ever too.

I'm just finding that with my games today, strategy, shooter, and RPG alike, none provide the satisfaction of finishing it. I gave up with CNC3's story, the FMV's were crap, the campaign was generic, made me sleepy.

Oblivion was a shitter of an RPG. I've never owned Morrowind, but the things I have heard about it give me reason to believe it was much better for it's target genre.

Half Life 2 is the only other game that has given me a storyline I want to keep playing with, that was epic, had believable characters and atmosphere.

I know this seems like more of a personal rant, but does anyone have a game that completely immerses you, and once completed you just sit back and go "Dam, that was sweet."

My cat's name is Milo. Well anyway. Star Ocean 3: 'Till the End of Time's story caught me up quite well. So much so that I found myself wanting to play it so I could see what happens next, even though the gameplay righteously pisses me off. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, or something. The KOTOR series were great at storytelling, and you can never go wrong with a Fire Emblem game. Hope that helps!

What about the Witcher? An upcoming RPG by who knows who - looks pretty neat though.

First off, if yyou liked the other Zelda games, have you tried out those yet? Res. Evil 4's was really good, i think it got voted game of year or something. And if you want a good adventure (anyone who knows me prob knew this was coming) get Final Fantasy 7. Old game, but PHENOMENAL story and gameplay.

Bioshock pretty much immersed me as much as HL2 did. Great story...very interesting setting. And it's a good shooter to top it off.

Well.. I didn't name myself after a cat =p More after the mixer drink. For no apparent reason really. KOTOR was indeed great, but when you play it to death since day of release.. time to move on.

I've actually been following the Witcher for a while, but the recent videos that have arrived.. not so sure. We'll see upon release.

I've played, as far as I know, all zelda games. Res. Evil 4 was really good yea, had an excellent story. Played that one too.. The Final Fantasy Series is not something I enjoy. Tried several times to get into it.. never quite worked.

I plan on buying Bioshock as soon as I bother to get an Xbox 360. ;)

KOTOR - Yarr Morrowind - Yarr Fable - Yarr

Maybe I've just been gaming too long as the old classics that I've played for so long will never be replaced?

You did so name yourself after my cat! Well anyways most RPGs are rather talented at story telling, since that's kind of their point. You should probably just play more of those, or something.

You're cat named itself after me. :(

Some RPG's are great at it. While some are.. absolutely.. crap. I'm going into the city tomorrow. What do you folks think of Neverwinter Nights 2?

Cheers Miss Kilvas :don:
