I feel like I've drowned myself here, I've played it. And It was crap. At least to me.

I might as well run back to World of Warcraft and wait for Assassin's Creed. :(

Pfft, just admit you're named after him. He's a quality kitty. Fire Emblem 10 for the Wii is coming out in November, I bet that'll be spectacular.

Fine. :( Pity I don't own a Wii. But I'm sure my mate won't mind if his goes missing..

Basically, the animations don't appear to be as fluid as claimed to be (all that motion capturing and what not) and gameplay seems mediocre at best. The graphics aren't really.. all that great. Then again, it is still being developed and my gripes aren't warranted, but this close to the release date I figure they'd be in a better state.

While it plans to be a compelling and story driven RPG game, many previews, these videos and so on, just seem to be giving me the message that it isn't as innovating as it claims to be.

Milo;3908505Now I'm sure we all have games that have just.. come to life? Before us. The last game that ever did that for me was the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A pinnacle masterpiece in gaming. Currently ranked IGN's #1 best game ever too.

I'm just finding that with my games today, strategy, shooter, and RPG alike, none provide the satisfaction of finishing it. I gave up with CNC3's story, the FMV's were crap, the campaign was generic, made me sleepy.

Oblivion was a shitter of an RPG. I've never owned Morrowind, but the things I have heard about it give me reason to believe it was much better for it's target genre.

Half Life 2 is the only other game that has given me a storyline I want to keep playing with, that was epic, had believable characters and atmosphere.

I know this seems like more of a personal rant, but does anyone have a game that completely immerses you, and once completed you just sit back and go "Dam, that was sweet."

Share!

Maybe it isn't that immersive, but the Baldur's Gate line of games (and for those who like 3rd edition D&D, Icewind Dale) are damn fine games.
