"Sweet" does not sum this up. I wub Steam, despite some of its issues.
Agreed. Steam is the way forward in video game marketing: No CD's, no trips to Best Buy, only on-demand access to games through (reasonably) secure online providers. And so far, Valve has been incredibly good at protecting itself from piracy. Microsoft must hate them.
As for me, I will be playing Wolfenstein 3D again, because that game rawked with a capital Awesome.
Dammit. This is why I hate computer games. They do so much to erode away my money reserves.
Nice!! Most of these games don't even exceed 1.5 gig!!! Those were the days.
Steam is fucking weaksauce. Who wants to use that shit?
Lots of people. Sure, the network traffic was a problem when Half-Life 2 was released but overall I think it has gotten a worse reputation than it deserved. It's actually a pretty convenient way of shopping for games. My only real concern is losing the game data and having to download that crap all over again.
Steam - You love it or hate it.
