Hey, I've been incredibly bored in the past week, MOHAA is truely getting boring, with all the cheaters and the fact that my favorite server is down for the count, it is just leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

I am requesting a game/demo ( Preferbably a Demo trial.. whatever I can download ).

It doesnt matter what size it is, I'm getting bored, thing is it has to be free.

I can download a lot faster for a little while here, and I am looking for something, possibly a FPS.. Stratagy title, even a Massively Online game.

Also, my computer isn't the greatest, I cant play Battlefield 2 for instance, in fact I doubt I could play AOE3.

Quite frankly, I'm just feeling really bored, don't tell me to buy another computer, I dont have enough money for such a thing.

I just need some game, something like.. Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honor, or anything envolving WW2, maybe some Multiplayer online game, I've been meaning to try one out.

Only rules are-

It can't cost money ( or at least it has to be a free trial ). Please dont pull something completely fantasy with Wizards and Dragons... It can't need a computer from about... BF2 level up.

Whoever finds one I like, may just get a special surprise! but we'll see.

Yeah, I plan to buy CoD very shortly, I even found a good E-bay price for it.

But I mean something I can find like.. a Multiplayer Demo for that I can try out to see if I like, I'm thinking of something different.. or at least good at what it does.

Edit: Also, how would you qualify CoD2 below BF2 graphics wise? Am I misinformed or something, because to the regular eye it looks a lot ahead of BF2 to me.

Rise of Nations is a really good RTS, the new fantasy game Rise of Legends has a demo too.

I happened to pick up the box to it today and whilst the requirements aren't low, they would run on my computer, and to prove what I have: 1.8ghz AMD Sempron 3000+ 64bit 512mb RAM ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 256mb Don't think you need to know anything else. Basically, it should work on your computer if yours is equal, only a little bit worse then or better then. Additionally, free games, I recommend you just try out the arcade sites, they can get really addicting. My favourite recommendations are: www.freeaddictinggames.com www.addictinggames.com Try Driver's Ed, good bit of fun.

Let me rephrase, Non Java/Flash games.

Non anything you can play online other than Tetris, because I'm a man who enjoys his Tetris.

Then you're a wise man I say. Hmmmm, most of the network sites will have the demo on for their game. I suppose you could just pick one at random and then download it and try it out. You've got pleny of choice at least.

Yeah, I was thinking about that.

Its just that either the game was too far out for my computer, it didn't look interesting, it looked to old and not fun enough, it didn't have a demo or I already had the game.

Nexuiz http://entertainment.newsforge.com/article.pl?sid=05/08/01/179242&tid=22 Nexuiz is a free 3D shooter, based on the Quake 1 "Darkplaces" engine, but it looks better than the Quake 3 engine.

Legends The Game Legends is a free Starsiege Tribes inspired game. Unfortunately it does not have any vehicles.

Planet Penguin Race This is a very simple, but VERY fun game. It is a high speed Penguin Bobsled game. You just have to go downhill as fast as possible, while getting as many fish as you can.

You can skip levels, it will just give you a "this level is not unlocked" message, and and make you confirm that your skipping a level.

Just a question? You have tried the Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of World War II Demo, or expansion, right? That is LOADS of fun. Experimental jets, Tanks, Motorcycles, and First Person Shooter action.

Half-Life 2, and Battlefield 1942 have TONS of free games you can download. BF1942 has BF Pirates, with Big pirate ships. Interstate 1982 with 1980s cars, and Galactic Conquest with Star Wars vehicles, and ships. Half-Life has CS:Source, and DOD:Source, as well as a number of others, that I have not heard of.

What about XIII? It does have an interesting engine. It is a lot easier on the eyes than many shooters.

Red Faction? Red Faction 2? It is fun to just blow holes in the wall every now and then...

So the last two are not that great... Oh well.
