I just got Lord of the rings conquest two days ago, and ever since I installed it into my computer, the game has had a terrible lag constantly. I lowered the graphics and reinstalled it a couple times, However it still lags. How do I fix this? Is it even fixable? please help.

How much memory do you have free, and is your graphics card/ram the reccomended for the game?

Well, the game itself is 6.2 gb and I have like 111gb of room so that's not the problem. Let me check about the card.

I have what's recommended, it just won't work. Idk why. Any other suggestions?

  • What about your Internet connection? Is it fast enough for this game?
  • What OS do you have? XP or Vista?
  • Are you running something else in the background along with the game? MSN, Xfire, Media Player, iTunes or anything else? If you do, don't. Keep your system resources free as much as possible.
  • Are you downloading something while playing the game?

You said your graphic card is good enough for this game. Exactly what graphic card do you have? What about the rest of your system? What CPU? How much RAM?

I've been looking around a bit with Google and it seems many people are having the same problem like you. There doesn't seem to be any real solution for this problem, but most people simply recommend lowering your graphic detail level down to minimum. If that doesn't help, next step would be lowering the resolution. Also, someone suggested playing only on "Greenlight" servers to avoid significant lag. I don't have this game, so I don't know what those "Greenlight" servers are.

According to my search resoults, it is indeed a bug. It seems you're not the only one who has it. I couldn't find any solution, though. Perhaps the problem will be solved in the patch.
