So I recently bought the PC version of Mass Effect 1, as I wasn't prepared to buy the cr*ptacular xbox 360 version again.

It came with 2 discs. Thing is though, that the game fully installed from one disc. So, what is the point of the second disc?

Anyone know?

I've put it in, and the only thing that comes up is the game launcher box that also appears when disc 1 is inserted.

I only got one disc with mine that came with disc 1 printed on it. I'm guessing it would probably be a language pack or something.

I'm sure it is a language pack, I've asked the question before and that is what I was told.

It didn't install any additional language pack when I put the second disc in.

Also, is there a way to get the 2 additional sets of DLC? Clicking on the DLC tab on the launched dialog box, only takes me to the ME3 site.

The installer might ask you for the second disc if you try to install the game with a different language. If you are the adventurous type you could also just open the disc in your explorer and look what's on it.

I found the original site archived here, though it looks like a few links are broken, Pinnacle Station goes through Origin now, and I can't seem to find Bringing Down the Sky anymore.

I managed to get the "Bringing Down The Sky" content through a link provided through a live chat with an EA tech representative.

I don't really want to download Origin just to get Pinnicle Station though.
