So, I'm sure we all know Mass Effect was a BEAST of a game in 2007, and now Mass Effect 2 has been announced for early 2010. Mass Effect had everything a great RPG needed, and then some. It was a terrific game, and I'm and on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment.

The big E3 reveal is only days away, is anyone else as excited as me?

Well I know I am, and I know what you're gonna say "You only beat it once, blah blah blah, you don't like it that much" I still am gonna beat it at least once, because the gameplay is awesome and fun, plus I just GOTTA see what happens as far as story is concerned

While I do think Bioware could have done a much better job when compared to their previous efforts, I did enjoy Mass Effect a lot and I'm looking forward to the next one. Given the trailer we've seen already though, I'm confused.

Yeah, but you really need to beat it again... so you can at least have a Shepard to carry over to the new game.

And in my opinion, that is the biggest thing, seeing my Shepard being carried over to the new story. I don't recall any game that has ever done this. I don't think its hard to do from a technical standpoint, BUT it is probably hard to do in the fact that they have to decide what all of your choices have done, while still allowing a similar world to be accessible without those choices...

(edit) And Mr. Matt, don't be confused. Its already been confirmed that Shepard is not dead, and that you will get to play as your Shepard for at least more than half of the game.

The first trailer that we saw was from a military standpoint, now I don't know for sure about everything, but I do know that for some reason they think he/she's dead and we gotta find out why in 2010 (CAN'T WAIT!!! =D)

We don't have to wait that long, they're going to reveal a lot more info about ME2 at E3, and they'll have a playable demo set up for anyone who wants to try it out...

I really need to go to E3.

Don't care, I already uninstalled Mass Effect 1 after finding out how utterly boring it was. Just not enough action for me.

In the latest video, I think Casey Hudson stated that Shepard wouldn't be dead, at least at the beginning of the game. Something about the colonies being raided by a mysterious group, and Shepard is sent to investigate them.

I know what happened to Shepard.

Spoiler: Show
Everyone thought he was dead. He is not. I repeat, he is not. Saw it in a world premiere on the TV.

Psst Baldur's gate 1 and 2 :P So that has been done quite a long time ago. While there was a number of things seriously lacking in mass effect Garrus: Thank you for taking me with you and I shall say no more words during the whole journey to defeat a massive alien space threat It was quite enjoyable. Will be nice to see a continuation of the story.
