nazoa93;4822369No, what he isl saying is that they are losing the shepard that he progressed through ME 1, making a lot of his choices useless, he doesn't care if he looks the same as the first

I spent 57 hours in that profile... AND I GOT IT ON WITH LIARA FOR NOTHING!

To be perfectly honest I really did'nt like mass effect. Like, not even a little bit. I dont know it just felt so slow and clunky to me. Maybe I'll like ME2 better :uhm:

After seeing the trailer and the Status: KIA come up, my mind jumped to a different conclusion. Anyone remember in the film Starship Troopers when Rico was mistakenly listed as KIA?

How many soldiers have been mistakenly labelled as KIA, when they're just MIA?

Like others have already said, it's just as likely that it's for hype purposes.

It's more than a little early to be taking a trailer as confirmation of Shepard being dead. Just bite your tongue, and wait for more info to be released.

That's true, if he really was dying, that could be considered a major plot twist, and they wouldn't show such a twist in a trailer

Seriously if Shepard was dead why would they say to hold onto your saves from Mass Effect 1.

It probably is that everyone assumes that he was killed in action but actually wasn't. There is a lot they could do with that like: Captured and imprisoned, Stranded on a planet in a warzone and must fight to stay alive, Just stranded on a planet and needs to find a way off, Wakes up on a ship that is severely damaged and he must begin repairs, Has amnesia and slowly remembers who he is, Actually did die but was revived, Faked his own death for some reason etc the possibilities are endless.

All of the major decisions made within your save file would be transmitted over to the 2nd one, showing the effects of all your "Major Choices" mabye, 5 years into the future, really showing how devastating or wise your choices were to a very high extreme.

bud389;4819962okay, well, firstly, im pissed mainly because they "killed off" Shephard, i mean, wtf bioware?! That just really pisses me off, if we end up starting from scratch again, with a new character, getting new partners, it's gonna really end up being a complete waste of time. I mean, i couldn't care less about the "elements" they want to be in the 2nd game, making it be alot like the first game, what with meeting new people to aid you along your quest, i want my other characters back which i spent 57 hours getting know and digging into their past history's! I mean WHAT THE HELL, its probably the biggest slap in the face that i've ever really cared about since... Since i found out that, that one chick in MGS3 was triple crossing me. Hopefully that's NOT what bioware is hinting at because i could care less then a rats ass about anyone else other then my original crew, I WANT WREX BACK!

Seriously, you think they're gonna kill off Shepard? I honestly doubt it, the the odds of having to make a new character (or at least start Shepard's leveling over) is a highly likely factor. I don't care though, it's Mass Effect 2, and I'm buying it regardless.
