What do you get for completing it on the PC? You get 20-25 GamerScore on LIVE(Or is it 50? I can't remember).

I do hope for Mass Effect 2 that they'll allow you to update your character. I have unlocked the Rifle-Specialization on another character, but my Vanguard only has specialization in Shotgun and Pistol, and he's the one i plan on doing ME 2 with!

An XP boost of 5% for all XP gains.

On PC it's not part of Windows Live, so there's no point in awarding any Gamer Score points.

For PC at least, when you unlock any of the specialisations, you can use them on any new character you create after you've met the requierment for that particular weapon. So I could have a Vanguard type character using an Assault Rifle or Sniper Rifle without penalties.

To be honest, if it's not like that on X-Box, then..... you've been screwed.

Since they're wanting ME to be a trilogy of games, then I honestly hope they allow us to carry characters over when starting a new game.

Well, it's like that on XBox too. But i don't feel like making a new character just to use the weapons. I like my 29 Vanguard!

Bioware has stated that you should keep your save, as it will be used in future Mass Effect games.

I'm hoping they give us some better character customisation options in ME2 though.

I suppose it would depend on what they can actually manage to do with the Unreal engine.

Hopefully though, by the time ME2 actually comes around, they'll have gained enough know-how and ingenuity with it to offer more customisation.

Just so long as they don't go and end up boosting the system requirements that is.

I hope we at least get more customized armor and weapons that actually look different from each other. The ones in ME as lame, they are basically the same guns with different colors. I want customization like KOTOR has.

Just so long as they don't go and end up boosting the system requirements that is.

Why wouldn't they? Its going to be a new game, better graphics, AI, physics ect... Its most likely going to need better hardware.

KoTOR's customisation was the same as ME. Different robes/armours/weapons that are just recolors of the same models.

There was more variation in KoTOR because it was the Aurora engine, and has been around for years. Bioware made the engine, and have been working on it for years, so when KoTOR came around they had years of experience with it. Look at the differences in visual quality between Neverwinter Nights, and KoTOR. Both by Bioware, and both using the Aurora Engine.

Mass Effect on the other hand, uses an engine that was licensed out to them from Epic.

There's a big difference between using and improving something you made, to doing the same with something that someone else made, and hasn't let many others use it. Off the top of my head, I can think of only six games between four companies that have used the new Unreal3 engine. -Mass Effect -Bioware -Rainbow Six Vegas & Vegas2 -Ubisoft -Gears of War & Unreal Tournament3 -Epic -Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway -Gearbox I know there's other games, but the majority of them aren't even out yet, and so far Mass Effect is the only RPG game of the lot. Remeber, there's more DLC to come for Mass Effect, aswell as two sequels.

As for Hardware requierments, that'll depend on how far they push the engine itself in the time it takes to make the first sequel, combined with how much they want it to sell on PC..... if the sequels come to PC.
