On PC at least, City of Heroes/Villains, DC Universe Online (Free to Play option), Freedom Force & Freedom Force vs The Third Reich, Iron Man & Iron Man 2. DC Universe Online is also on PS3 though. Crysis games, Deus Ex games... Superhuman abilities granted through technological means! What's more, they break from the typical Superhero game type by being FPS games! Not forgetting many, many RPG games that allow you to use magic, often leading to "I WIN BUTTON" by virtue of magic making a character somewhat unstoppable. What? Magic grants superhuman qualities damnit! Strength, speed, healing.....;) Seriously though, the first list of games are probably more what you're looking for. With the Freedom Force games you control an entire squad at once, as well as manage a roster of different heroes. Even custom ones. It's quite tongue-in-cheek though, heavily inspired by the 60's era of comics & superheroes.

Geez, SO many games allow you to have superhuman abilities. You really need to narrow down better what you accept as superhuman powers, vs just eliminating a few games.

Even in medieval games such as Skyrim you can imbue yourself with fantastical powers if you really want to, and use weapons and armor enchanted with powers, or build them yourself.

When you gave the comic book based examples, are you saying you would prefer it to not be ANY such game, in other words eliminating the entire comic book superhero genre in one fell swoop?

There's LOTS of RPGs that have their own story, vs being derived from comics and movies like Batman, Star Wars, etc. RPG games are unique in their depth of inventory items, skill building, and interaction though, so it really helps to be familiar with that type of game, or you could wind up getting overwhelmed.

For hardcore RPG'ers, the TES series tends to give you that ability after a while. Level your character way up and get the best weapons, armor, and enchantments available, and you've got a character that can kill the deities in the game with relative ease.
