Multiwinia is an amazing game. It fixed all the problems I had with Darwinia, and is a blast at LAN parties.

I'm hoping FileFront will consider a Darwinia/Multiwinia Files site when the upcoming map editor is released.

Anyone else around here been playing it?

Is it selling well? I heard that Darwinia sold like crap for such a good game.

I really couldn't tell you how well it is selling. I don't have access to that kind of information hehe.

I have a feeling when it hits XBL it will sell quite a bit more.

Anyway, I recommend to everyone that you at least download the demo on Steam and give it a whirl.

Never heard of it.

Sounds like an indie title.

I played the Darwinia demo and have to say I didn't like it. The demo level was too repetitive, and the gameplay too simplistic.

Loved the art style though.

N88TR;4607988Never heard of it.

Sounds like an indie title.[/quote] Yeah it is.

What of it?

Bungie, for example, started as an independent developer, got bought by MS in the middle of development of Halo, and has now split and returned to independent status.

I never bought Darwinia because I disliked the demo.

Multiwinia is miles better, and yes the art style is awesome.

P.S. Simple is elegant.

"Dumbass" because it is unique, original, and plays smoothly on even the worst computer (perfect for playing on school comps), or "dumbass" because it is developed by a small team and isn't normal-mapped, phong-shaded, or HDR lit up the ass like every other game developed by corporate empires with way too much money?

Shoulda pre-ordered, you could have gotten Darwinia and Multiwinia together for $20. =p

Or you could wait for the XBL release (if you have an XB) that will have them together in a package called "Darwinia+".

Never played either one, my friend bought both, I'm gonna try it out over at his place before I make my decision.

I need to stop buying games though, already re-bought C&C First decade and BF2, lost both somehow :/ BF2 I know was lost at a lan (just the dvd, still have the box). C&C is just gone.
