So, who bought the game on the midnight launch, and what did you think of it?

Didn't buy it, but I can't wait for the wave of "It's just like MW2/BO," "I wasted/it was worth $60," and/or "Campaign is short, but MP is ultra-fun." to hit.

Probably won't be buying it until it drops to $15, like the other CoD games I've purchased after MW. They're just the same garbage over and over again.

You have a long, long wait ahead of you. MW2 stayed at retail for over a year after launch, and Black Ops is still at retail.

I can't wait to find out how many people bought into CoD: Elite, possibly making CoD MP a subscription-based service one step closer to reality.

MW2 is still in retail stores here, and it still costs the same it did on release day.

I know that, I just recently bought MW2 for $15, that's how long it took. Isn't BO still $60 after almost a year?

Got to admit, saw the BBC's Breakfast programme yesterday and they dedicated a fair amount of reporting time to the midnight launch.

The report even had some guy comparing BF3 and MW3 as the "Blur & Oasis of today"......

At last I checked it was, which was last month.

I didn't get it, but apparently the sales were insane.

I still have MW2 though and I did enjoy that game. I didn't play it online much but the campaign was pretty good in my opinion. PC version.

But yeah, apparently MW3 is more like MW2.5. Here's a review from metacritic that gave me a chuckle:

This is the BEST map pack for MW2 so far. It's a little over priced though, they're usually like $15. There is a glitch however- usually my profile carries over from one map pack to the other, but this time my stats reset

:lulz:

Anyone comparing BF3 to MW3 is daft. They're nothing alike, with the only thing they have in common being that they're first person shooters.
