Because I can't afford to upgrade my PC. Not only that, my PC is a 5 year-old Dell that doesn't have any extra PCI slots. Which is lame as hell.

Save up your money. You can get a brand new dell for as little as $27 a month. Stop buying limited Apple games, and put it to your Dell fund. If you get a job you should be able to afford even $35 a month.

Well, I have another PC with the capacity to be upgraded. I use it primarily for audio engineering/producing, but might be interesting to put a video card in there. Still interested in Mac compatible suggestions though, since that still would be the more convenient option. I have a new thread about possible gfx card upgrades in the tech forum, if anyone cares to lend their insight.

Try out the World of Warcraft free trial and see if you're willing to pay 15 dollars a month. To me that's cheap considering I used to spend 50 a month on games.

You're getting a new graphics card? I suggest a nVidia GeForce 6200 or a 6800 I got mine for just £60 and it's very good.

Well, I tried playing Knight Online, and it crashed disastrously twice within 30 minutes. Meh.

I HIGHLY recomend KOTOR series. If you like Civ3, as I do, then Civ4 will be a real treat! I feel it was money well spent.

I see that Max Payne is on that Apple store... you should definitely play that one. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is on there too, and that's another good one.
