Hey, Don't you reckon the old games are the greatest! I downloaded Heretic and Doom last night, my all time favorites! Ah! the memories come flooding back! Pure classics's!!! Im currently DL'ing Decent :P Now theres a game i haven't played since 1995! :) Anyone else have any good memories of those old school games? Leaning back in the chair when the old fire balls come flying towards you in DOOM! But whats the best Classic game you think?? Oh and whilst im here, I was browsing on here and thought i'd probably get a quicker response from you lot if i asked, what Version was the Tactical Shield in CS? 1.4 im guessing but i just wondered if some one could clarify the fact! Chaars!
Oh yeah, It depends on how old your talking, Example, I HATE AOE, AOE2, AOM and basically anything since then upto 2004. However, I do have exceptions, such as... Red Baron Flight Simulator (16 Colors!!!!!) But pwnage game play!! Its A MUST try for ANY Flight sim liker And DOOM Knee Deep In Dead is awesome, 256 Colors, but OMFG it is awesome fun, aint bad graphics for its age either!
For computer games, I guess one could count the Freespace and Baldur's Gate series as classics, those are two of my favorites. There's also the ancient Lotus series and the good old NES and SNES games. And Shadow Warrior! Awesome game.
Carnivores2 was a pretty adicting game since you get to go around and hunt dinosaurs. :)
Starcraft. Enough said.
If it's not ASAP, I don't care

My favorite old-school genre has to be adventure games. The King's Quest Series, Quest for Glory, Roger Wilco, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, The Dig, Full Throttle, MONKEY F-ING ISLAND! I love playing old-school adventure games on a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon.
No! I'm Spamacus!

I know a decade isn't very old, but one of my favorite games ever was Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. I don't think I've played any other game online for as long as I did that one. Single player might also rank towards the top in terms of hours played. The thousands of mods and maps for it really keeps the game alive. Heck, the modding community is still pretty active...

My thoughts exactly.
The Dig was bloody hard, but it was almost a movie.
Ahhh, all the time spent playing Vectorman and Contra Hard Corps.
