quetzlcoatl;4004558I'm always a fan of old games, I've got several emulators on my laptop. I know it's not really the same, so sue me. It still works. I am and forever will be addicted to Tetris. Also, wasn't the Tactical Shield in CS 1.6?

Also, in reference to GameTap, I've always looked at them but never really thought it was a good idea since most if not all games they have can be found in emulator format for free, sometimes after a little hunting.

You're right, I'd say about 90% of the games on GameTap can be run on emulators. I find it convenient though that everything is there, ready for me to play anywhere I go (since I play the games on my laptop). One downside is that in order to play the games, I need to be connected to the internet. I'm not sure if there is a way to play the games offline, but if there isn't then that's a huge negative since if/when I travel, I'd like to be able to play the games on my laptop.

Commander Keen 1-6. DooM 1-2. Quake 1-2. Star Wars: Dark Forces 1-2.

All that has to be said has been said.

I loved the old Sonic games, especially Sonc 3 & Knuckles. I also played alot of other games like A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, and Sunset Riders.

When I had a N64, I enjoyed playing Goldeneye and the two Zeldas they had for it. There was a certain game I liked on the playstation but its name escapes me atm.

I'm not sure if this can be considered "old" but Freelancer was pretty nice.

I'd say the main reason why these games appealed to me was I played them when I was young, and they were my first games. They gave me that excitement that I have yet to replicate. Not because the games I have now suck, some are really good, it's just that it ain't the same as the first ones I played.

I only own one computer, my laptop, so if I ever move it my emulators come with me. I also don't need the internet to play, just a $10 USB controller you buy once and I'm set.
