Just wondering if any of you guys played anything but AA. Americas Army got me playing other MP games. I found SoF2 and got hooked. So much, that I even created a few maps and a few miscellaneous mods for it. It's too bad AA doesnt let us map with their maps. +MIF+ Dr. Pimp --X

theres a reason AA doesn't have a map editor.

the army has standards, if they let people make they're own map for the game the armys standards might not be met. and why have an official game if 90% of the maps for it don't your standards?

and by standards i dont mean quality, i mean objs more, really. if someone made a map where one teams obj was to kill all the civilians and the others was to stop them that doesn't work. because each side needs to be playable as a US soldier and no US soldier will -ever- be orderd to 'go kill those civilians'.

then it turns into CS. then it dies.

anyway, i don't really play other games. and just so you know, there is a SoF2 forum here at GamingForums.

A map editor is just that, you make the map and not the gametype, I like the way AA plays, I would not want to change that. It's similar to INF on sof2. I do know about the sof2 discussion forum. I'm always there. My thing was not about knocking AA, I love that game. I was curious on how many other games you guys played, and if I get knocked back to the sof2 forum, fine. I don't need this. btw, I just finished a sof2 ver. of the Bridge Crossing map. Check out the screenies at http://groups.msn.com/pimpscreations/mapsimworkingon.msnw +MIF+ Dr. Pimp [L] --X

i never got the idea you were knocking AA and i got that you were interested in what other games AA players played, i just wanted to let you know of SoF2 disscussions going on that you may not have known of.

"I like the way AA plays, I would not want to change that" you wouldn't but others would. its just too risky.

and that bridge map looks good.

I downloaded that a couple of days ago and I was quite impressed with your work. One of the best maps I have seen done for a SoFII multiplayer map. :) Are you planning any more "ports" of AAO maps? You could make a map pack of sorts...

I thought about some of the other maps, maybe so; I'm not sure which I would do next, bridge was my favorite. Right now I'm working on a conversion of one of the original maps from sof2 that I thought was fun but needed something more.
