My bro buyed this game called homeworld 2 a while ago (loved homeworld 1 and cataclysm) and discovered it didnt work on his PC (or at least not properly - one frame every 2 or 3 secs). I don't understand it, his PC is well within the system requirements, except it says i need '32MB OpenGL supported hardware with T and L support' I presume this is a graphics card, but what is 'T and L support'? he would like to know before he buys a graphics card, he has dell extreme graphics (it says on display tab) (or whatever comes with a dell dimension 2400) Any suggestions on what to buy/do? (note he doesnt have a AGP or PCIX slot only PCI) oh and sorry if ive wasted your time on this :uhm:

T & L stands for Texture and Lighting. Basically you need a video card that supports it. Most newer games require it now too. So you should get one if you wanna play new games.

T&L = Transform and Lighting. Sounds like your video card is a really old banger if it doesn't have that (no offence.) Any video-card you buy isn't going to be up to much though with a PCI slot, you might be able to find something like a Geforce FX 5200 for it but personally I'd wait a bit and replace the motherboard at the same time in order to get a better video-card.

You'll be wanting a PCI version 5200 if you do get one rather than just waiting for your new PC. They come in AGP & PCI versions and if you did get an AGP version you couldn't use it :/.
